Batik Exhibition at Textile Museum Gets Positive Response

Visitors visiting the Textile Museum at Jalan Aipda KS Tubun, West Jakarta is positively responding the exhibition of 75 batik collections by Go Tik Swan Penambahan Hardjonagoro.

I am glad and proud to have exhibited the work of one of the batik maestro here

According to one of the museum visitors, Pingky Sudarman, the exhibition and workshop held is very effective and positive. It is because the younger generation can learn the art and philosophy contained in batik itself.

"I am glad and proud to have exhibited the work of one of the batik maestro here," he stated, Sunday (9/24). 

Misari, Executing Unit Head of Education and Information for Art Museum admitted she is pleased with the enthusiasm of visitors, either they are lovers or entrepreneurs of batik. 

"In the event, we also have a workshop. It aims to educate people and make them to love more batik," she told.

On the other hand, Batik Exhibition Curator, Sri Sintarasari Iskandar expressed, every work of batik generally applies the unification of sense of unity, nationalism and romance.

"The late Go Tik Swan Penambahan Hardjonagoro is one of the pioneers of batik in Indonesia. His service and work, of course we should appreciate," she closed.
