Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat monitored four pieces of Berlin Wall and Menembus Batas Statue at Kalijodo, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday (9/26).

As planned, installation process can be done fast and inaugurated on October 3.

According to him, wall pieces and statue artists were looking for the right place to install it for all this time. After met with Djarot in 2017, then it was discussed to be installed in Kalijodo, the open green space.

German Ambassador to Indonesia, Michael Freiherr von Ungern-Sternberg explained, many parts of Berlin Wall spread in many places around the world.

Though, he continued, Jakarta is first place in East Asia region that place the pieces in public area.

"I think, it is also important to improve the relationship between sister cities," he closed.
