Djarot Inaugurates 11 School Buildings

Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat inaugurated 11 school buildings symbolically at SDN Pulogadung 03/04, East Jakarta, Saturday (10/7). Those buildings have been totally renovated by Jakarta Education Dept. with budget Rp 150 billion.

Djarot said, Jakarta Education Dept. has totally renovated 103 schools and heavy renovated 119 schools in 2017. He appreciates Jakarta Education Dept. performance since those 11 schools can be finished early than contract.

"I always remind to renovate school buildings and finish it in one year budget during summit meeting. No more multi years," he said.

He does not want any school renovation to be delayed for years. Because this can disturb students learning system in school.

Jakarta Education Dept should give a good example that discipline and honest learning is started since a school building is built.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Education Dept. Head, Sopan Andrianto explained, total budget to renovate 102 buildings is Rp 1.5 trillion. The remaining renovation of 91 buildings is targeted to be finished on December 20 ahead.

"In 2017, we have totally renovated 102 school buildings. Recently 11 buildings have been finished and others are still on finishing progress. Each building have different renovation budget," he stated.

School buildings that have been inaugurated are SDN Duren Sawit 13 with renovation budget Rp 14.4 billion. Then SDN Pondok Bambu 1 for Rp 13.3 billion, SDN Pulogadung 03/04 for Rp 15.4 billion, SMPN 164 for Rp 12.4 billion.

Next, SMAN 66 Rp 6.6 billion, SMPN 159 for Rp 16 billion, SDN Karet Tengsin 13 for Rp 2.2 billion. Then Utan Kayu Utara 11 for Rp 12.4 billion, Utan Kayu Utara 07/08 for Rp 10.4 billion, SDN Utan Kayu Selatan 17 for Rp 11.4 miliar, and SDN Rawamangun 05 for Rp 11.9 billion.
