N. Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Struggles to Achieve Budget Target

The low absorption is also due to unoptimal billing

The North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. until mid-October has absorbed 49.28 percent of total budget by Rp 71.8 billion. It is targeted to hit 90 percent by the end of this year.

"To pursue the shortage, the work is divided between the maintenance section head and the sub-district executing unit head, including repair of pumps and material procurement," said Santo, Head of North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., Thursday (10/19).

Education Dept.'s Budget Absorption Reached 54 Percent

According to him, all executing units in six sub-districts and maintenance section heads have proposed location of work in the existing budget. So hopefully it could also accelerate the high rate of budget absorption. 

"The low absorption is also due to unoptimal billing. We urge those who have completed the work, to immediately fulfill their completeness in order to be submitted payment," he disclosed.
