Water Resources Dept. Targeted to Absorb Budget at 85 Percent

Jakarta Water Resources Dept. has absorbed budget at 38 percent. It is targeted budget absorption can be able to hit 85 percent at the end of this year.

According to Teguh Hendrawan, Head of Jakarta Water Resources Dept., his dept. will optimize budget absorption until the end of this year. The low absorption is because of a lot of work still running.

"We have a lot of third-party projects that spend a lot of money," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (10/17).

He disclosed, the total budget in his dept. this year amounted to Rp 2.6 trillion. Budget absorption itself is targeted at 85 percent, as the other 15 percent is the efficiency of the activities that have been budgeted.

"Until the end of the year, hopefully it can be realized to 85 percent. The rest of the auction is unused, the efficiency of the budget and it is generally accepted," he uttered.

He continued the obstacles faced in budget absorption are the length of the auction process. So there are some projects that had to be delayed.

"The main problem is the length of the auction process. Then others run as usual," he closed.
