Jatinegara Betawi Fun Event 2017 which held at ex-Kodim Jatinegara Building, East Jakarta, runs lively. This event will last until October 28.

Betawi is extraordinary

Based on beritajakarta.id monitoring, Palang Pintu, traditional dance, choir are performed by betawi artists and there is also Declaration of Betawi Revival Movement (Gerbang Betawi).

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno mentioned to commit in preserving and promoting Betawi culture.

"Make me full of happiness and joy tonight," he expressed, Thursday (10/26) night.

According to him, mapping 3D video themed 'Betawi Dulu, Kini, dan Mendatang' has technology elements, traditions, and historical values which makes interesting and beautiful.

"Betawi is extraordinary. Not only filled with science, and technology, but also faith and piety," he said.

Meanwhile, Jatinegara Betawi Fun Event 2017 Committee Head, Sylviana Murni added, she felt proud having a chance to hold an event at building with historical value.

"In the future, we will expose other locations. This event is important to empower Betawi communities," she closed.

For information, Gerbang Betawi Executive Director, Ashari; East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana; Jakarta Tourism and Culture Dept. Head, Tinia Budiati; Betawi public figures and East Jakarta Government apparatus also attended this event.
