DPRD to Follow Up BPK’s Findings

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) will follow up Supreme Audit Agency (BPK)’s Examination Result Report (LHP) on Jakarta Provincial Government’s financial report which declines to be Qualified Opinion (WDP). However, the follow up will be done after the presidential election because DPRD still has 60 days of time to give further response.

DPRD Chairman, Ferrial Sofyan, said that DPRD will examine further to regional working units (SKPD) related to BPK’s findings. “

If budged deviation was found in an SKPD, the unit will be immediately summoned for explanation. “We will ask them why there is such finding?” he told.
With those findings, Sofyan assessed that Jakarta Provincial Government should be more accurate in making financial report, because city governance and financial is still deficient. “That’s why the financial report must be improved, it should be admitted. And, the 86 findings must be examined, whether there was a mistake or not” he uttered.
As previously reported, BPK found 86 findings on Jakarta Provincial Government financial report. From those findings, the city suffers total loss of Rp 1.54 trillion. The findings consist of regional losses worth Rp 85.36 billion, potential losses Rp 1.33 trillion, shortfall Rp 95.01 billion, and 3Es (inefficient, uneconomical, ineffective) worth Rp 23.13 billion.
Because of that, Jakarta Provincial Government’s 2013 LHP declines from previous year which gained Unqualified Opinion (WTP) rating. The decline happens because of some problems, including the expenditures through money supply mechanism which over deadline on December 15, 2013.
