Thousands of Fire Victims Conduct Sahur in Refugee Camps

Thousands of citizens who are fire victims living at Block B, Jalan Muara Baru Kebon Tebu, RT 16/17, Muara Baru Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, had to conduct pre-dawn meal or locally called as sahur in refugee camps. Therefore, they hope benefactor's aid in form of building materials for re-building their burned houses.

Mulyati, (50), one of fire victims admitted she and her four children remain optimistic conduct fasting well. Her family is currently evacuated to a bus stop that is no longer in operation.
She also plans to return to hometown in Cirebon, West Java, thus her family does not stay in the refugee camp. "I'm waiting for news from my husband who works as a bajaj driver. If he brings money, we will return to Cirebon," she stated, Sunday (6/29).
Fire Victims Need Building Material AidsMulyati who had rented a house in seven years admitted she was surprised when the fire engulfed her residential. Luckily, she managed to evacuate her belongings at that time. "I was surprised when fire kept grew up, but I had evacuated my belongings in the house," she expressed.
Head of Penjaringan Sub-District, Rusdiyanto expressed fire broke out on Saturday (6/28) has caused 364 households or 1,456 people lost their houses.
Meanwhile, Head of North Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Ika Lestari explained 3,000 packaged rice meals have been prepared to fire victims in refugee camps, with details 1,500 for pre-dawn meal and 1,500 others for breaking for the fasting. Its distribution will be conducted at 5 PM. "We'll distribute 3,000 packaged rice meals to fire victims," she told.
"Currently, we're still waiting for children and baby's data to be given aids. In details, the aid for children consists of school uniform, bag, and stationery, etc. While for baby, we will distribute food baby and so on," she stated.
