33 Cadres of Jumantik and PKK Given Socialization of Contagious Animal Diseases

33 cadres of wiggler hunter (jumantik) and PKK in Tanah Tinggi Urban Village, Johar Baru, Central Jakarta are undergoing socialization about contagious animal diseases at Rustanti RPTRA.

This is for knowledge sharing

Bayu Sari Hastuti, Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. disclosed, those cadres are introduced about animal diseases that are potentially contagious to humans, like rabies and bird flu.

"This is for knowledge sharing. We choose them, as they know best which house has dog, cat or bird," she expressed, Monday (11/20).

He explained, various precautions are also socialized, for instance routine vaccinations once a year, dog must be chained, and Animal Spread Rabies (HPR) must not be released, until the requirements for raising poultry.

Meanwhile, Erni (36, a cadre of Jumantik at RW 10 Tanah Tinggi admitted it is very useful. She intends to spread the knowledge to other people and to intensify anti-mosquito campaign (PSN).

"We will use this moment to spread it to the people, especially those who have bird, and HPR," she closed.
