Due to illegal parking, tens of motorcycles around Tanah Abang Market are ticketed by 71 joint personnel of Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department and Tanah Abang Metro Sector Police. Afterwards, police officer brought vehicles to police office as deterrent effect, Monday (6/30).

He explained he deliberately involved police officers because the Transportation Sub-Department has no authority to ticket vehicles with black plate. "The black plate is the authority of police officers. That's why we involve them," he expressed.
Chief of Tanah Abang Metro Sector Police, Anom Setyadji explained officers immediately brought those ticketed motorcycles to office of Tanah Abang Metro Sector Police for further process. "We do it to give deterrent effect," he uttered.
He expressed that his side will impose severe sanctions in order to give deterrent effect to the motorists who often park haphazardly. "We'll make severe sanction, like seizing motorcycle if the owner does not bring vehicle registration (STNK). By so, traffic congestion around Tanah Abang Market could be parsed well," he stated.
