Violating, Vehicles Executed in East Jakarta

The illegal parking is still often done by bikers. This circumstance often leads into congestion in the capital city. To resolve this, East Jakarta Transportation Department Sub-Dept raided not feasible public transportation and illegal parking on Monday (6/30). As a result, 16 public transportation vehicles were ticketed, 50 motorcycles and 3 private cars were deflated.

The raid is often carried out. However, the bikers never get deterrent. As a matter of fact, they often park in forbidden areas. 

15 personnel of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Dept were deployed in the raid centered on Jalan Jatinegara Timur and Jalan Bekasi Timur, exactly from in front of Bogor stamplat until Jatinegara Station. This area was targeted since many there were many illegal parking on the roadside even though it had been controlling.

Head of East Jakarta Supervision and Control Transportation Sub-Dept, Budi Sugiantoro, said that Jalan Jatinegara Timur until Jalan Bekasi Timur area often  become congestion point. Almost every morning and evening, the congestion occurs due to illegal parking.

“The raid is often carried out. However, the bikers never get deterrent. As a matter of fact, they often park in forbidden areas. Even though it is in fasting month, we keep raid illegal parking and not feasible public transportation vehicles,” said Sugiantoro, Monday (6/30).

According to him, the raid netted 16 improper public transportation vehicles to operate, precisely 12 mikrolets and 4 taxis which got ticketed due to its drivers not wearing uniform, not bringing driver identification card (KPP), or control card (PPP), and because they base in any place.

Meanwhile 50 motorcycles and 3 personal cars were deflated since they were parking in illegal area. This raid will be conducted in East Jakarta area during Ramadan.
