Anies Attends Outbreak Response Immunization at SMAN 33

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, attended a series of Outbreak Response Immunization (ORI) of Diphtheria at SMAN 33, Jalan Kamal Raya No. 54, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, Monday (12/11).

To follow up it, the city will do a thorough evaluation

In his speech, he said that it was a response to the emergence of the Diphtheria disease that has developed rapidly in some places lately.

All Children in Jakarta Must Get Diphtheria Immunization

"We express our thanks, appreciation of the Health Ministry that gives quick response by holding ORI. Today we started to start in West Jakarta and North Jakarta areas," he expressed.

The disease commonly affects children aged 5-15 years, and there is one-third occurred in children under the age of 5 years, 16 percent occur the age of 15 years.

"To follow up it, the city will do a thorough evaluation," he explained.

He expressed, it is prioritized in West and North Jakarta with a total target age of 1-19 years with target achieved by 1.2 million people.

Health Minister, Nila Moeloek expressed his thanks to the city that has supported the event.

"Immunization is a preventive measure to minimize the spread of disease," he said.
