The measles rubella immunization in North Jakarta is targeting to 370,000 or 91 percent of target at 420,480 children.
"I am optimistic we can achieve the target this week," expressed Husein Murad, Mayor of North Jakarta, after he led an evaluation meeting about measles rubella immunization in his office, Tuesday (10/10).
Measles Rubella Immunization Starts AugustThe meeting was held by several related units. They were heads of sub-district, Health Sub-dept., Education Sub-dept., Health Ministry, and Unicef of PBB Agency that handles the children.
He assessed, to get maximize results, socialization towards the public must be intensified. That is socialization to the parents of the students, educators and general public. Thus the rest time this week is used maximally.
"The rest time this week will be used maximally. We're optimistic to achieve the target up to 100 percent," he expressed.
The immunization is given to children aged 9 months to 15 years. In this week his side will target the crowded settlements that have many children.
Meanwhile, Java Regional Unicef Representative Head, Arie Rukmantara uttered the target must be implemented within five days ahead.
"We support and encourage them to be more excited about the measles rubella immunization. Because it's free international program," said Arie.
