Tens of Krendang Urban Village PPSU, West Jakarta are deployed to handle inundation in citizen settlements of RW 02, 03 and 06.

PPSU had to do demolishment and make the new channel and dredge mud in citizen settlements that are inundated

Krendang Urban Village Head, Andre Ravnic said, inundation in RW 02 is spotted in settlement of RT 03, 05, and 07. As for RW 03, it is also occurred in RT 02 and 015. While in RW 06, similar condition is also seen at RT 04.

According to him, inundation is because of the clogged water channel that cannot accommodate water in large quantities during heavy rain on Tuesday (12/12).

"PPSU had to do demolishment and make the new channel and dredge mud in citizen settlements that are inundated," he expressed, Thursday (12/14).

He explained, the channel itself that has 170 meters length by PPSU is aimed to overcome inundation. The personnel also managed to transport hundreds of sacks containing mud. 

"Today we're still sweeping settlements to make sure there are no channels covered by concrete and clogged by mud," he concluded.
