Sandi Wants Lake and Reservoir Used for Various Activities

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno revealed, lakes and reservoirs in the capital can be used to hold a variety of activities, including water sports.

We want to open the widest possible citizen participation in activities that use lake and reservoir areas

Sandi disclosed, the related regional working unit (SKPD) must check the quality of water before the activity takes place. Thus, it will prevent unwanted things in the future, especially in term of health.

"The safety of the participants also needs to get the main attention. We want to open the widest possible citizen participation in activities that use lake and reservoir areas," he expressed, Thursday (1/4).

Sunter Lake in Tanjung Priok Cleaned

He will hold Sunter Lake Festival on the east side of South Sunter Lake, North Jakarta. It is hoped could be a shock effect to increase public awareness and increase the potential of water tourism in Jakarta.

"It will be a pilot, it is not just focused on the festival. But how Jakarta Provincial Government is able to make the reservoir and lake beautiful, and can be used for the good and facilitate the people," he stated.
