South Tangerang Mayor Meets Sandi to Provide Cooperation

South Tangerang Mayor, Airin Rachmi Diany met Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno, at City Hall, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta.

So this is the part that will be proposed

In the meeting, they discussed a number of cooperation such as, the construction of Tandon Ciater in Ciater Urban Village, Serpong Sub-district, South Tangerang, which was funded by a grant from Jakarta Provincial Government.

"The result is good. That is fund from the city government to them (South Tangerang)," he expressed, Monday (1/15).

He added that the discussion was also made related to the proposed extension of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) route from Lebak Bulus to Ciputat, South Tangerang. PT MRT Jakarta was agreed to act as the initiator.

"We hope this year's feasibility study can be completed and development can be executed in 2019," he told.

They both want Jalan Cirendeu Raya to be widened. It is because the road segment is widely crossed by people who work in Jakarta.

"So this is the part that will be proposed. We want to give budget in 2019 and get council approval," he said.

At the same place, South Tangerang Mayor, Airin Rachmi Diany hoped that MRT could be extended to Ciputat and its surrounding areas. Thus, the frequent jam could be minimized.

"Thank you sir, it has been responded quickly. Hopefully, we can realize the mass transportation mode that is connected between South Tangerang and Jakarta," she stated.
