City-Banten Agreed on Cooperation of Infrastructure Sector

Jakarta Provincial Government along with Banten Provincial Government and Tangerang District has agreed to cooperate in inter-provincial infrastructure.

The cooperation is listed in the signing of cooperation agreement on the development of facilities and infrastructure in the field of transportation, water resources, environment, energy, tourism and food security, at City Hall, Wednesday (8/23).
Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, positively welcomes cooperation in the field of food security.

Djarot stated, trimming the distribution channel will reduce cost, thus the market price is more stable and can be controlled.
"Meat and fish are also the same. Banten is the producer and we are the distributor," he stated.
He added, the financing of cooperation program would be using APBD and Central Government. For physical development, the Tangerang and Banten will first make the formulation and proposal of the program. If the review result of the proposal is deemed a priority, the city will provide assistance.
"Including the development of the Seribu Islands with Tangerang District. It's similar to Cituis Pier, the construction of the lake and the river," he uttered.
Meanwhile, Banten Governor, Wahidin Halim added, many potentials in the region that can be collaborated with Jakarta.
"With city and Tangerang District, since I was a mayor, I had done it. When I became governor, I hope Mr. Djarot could expand, as we have tremendous potential, such as fish meat, rice and vegetables,' he finished.
Tangerang Regent, Ahmad Zaki Iskandar stated, the cooperation will bring great benefits to citizens in both provinces. Therefore, he immediately set the program to be proposed in 2018.
"Citius and Tanjung Pasir piers, it is hopefully realized next year. We set the program first for next year," he closed.
