Jakarta Research Council (DRD) appreciates flood management program in Jakarta.
Flood management becomes more prepared and better
One of those programs is related to flood management policy which is no longer divided per cities, but by eastern, central, and western sections.
DRD Secretary for Worker Agency, Muhammad Fausal assessed flood management in eastern, central, and western sections are quite effective to manage river from upstream to downstream.

o divide areas into three sections. This will make it easier to handle," he stated, Tuesday (1/16).He explained, Jakarta Provincial Government always tackling floods by using flood prevention master plan in 1980 as reference. Thus almost all rivers need to be normalized.
According to him, his side always try to encourage Jakarta Government to complete master plan that has been adjusted to current developments.
"If master plan is not relevant anymore, it must be adjusted to current developments," he said.
