Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno wants PT. Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) and Finland's company, Fortum Corporation to reach deal thus Sunter Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) construction in North Jakarta could be realized soon.
Deadline is on February 1
According to him, those corporations deadline to complete business to business (B to B) concept for Sunter ITF is on February 1, 2018.
"Deadline is on February 1. We want them to have a deal soon thus construction can be started faster," he conveyed, Monday (1/22).
ITF Sunter Construction Awaits Pergub RevisionHe explained, people have been waiting for Sunter ITF and many sides want to invest in waste management sector.
"PT. Jakpro reports to us that it has a tough discussion with Fortum. I have mentioned Finland Ambassador to accelerate it," he mentioned.
He informed, Jakarta produces 7,000 tons of waste a day. Thus Sunter ITF existence is very important to handle waste in Jakarta and it can't be postponed anymore.
"Land is ready to use. It is the most important thing," he added.
For information, Sunter ITD has capacity of waste crusher for around 2,000-2,200 tons per day or about 30 percent from total produced waste. Through management system and burning at 1,200-1,600 Celsius degree, waste can be used to produce 35 megawatt electricity.
