BPBD: Two Buildings in Jakarta Damaged Due to Earthquake

At least two buildings in Jakarta were damaged by a 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolted the coast of Lebak, Banten on Tuesday afternoon. 

So far there are two buildings damaged

Jakarta BPBD Head, Jupan Royter said, according to the data gathered, those damaged buildings were one citizen's house at Gg. Kantin, RT 02/10 Lenteng Agung, Marble Ceiling of CTF Building and Bareskrim Police Headquarters on Jalan Ridwan Rais, Central Jakarta.

"So far there are two buildings damaged," he expressed, Tuesday (1/23).

Jakartans Surprised By Earthquake This Afternoon

He assessed that one person was injured in the disaster. The victim was identified as Yohan (34) who hit by the ruins of the back wall of his house.

While the damaged buildings of KKP and Bareskrim Mabes Polri hit a car on the ground floor. Total material losses were estimated at Rp 10 million.

"We're still doing data collecting in the field," he said.
