To Avoid Fire, MCB Boxes Installed on Streetlight Poles

To anticipate fire due to electricity short-circuit, Central Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept. began to install a miniature circuit breaker (MCB) box on streetlight poles.

Our target is able to install 13,000 boxes this year

"There have been 3,000 boxes installed so far. In each day, we try to install 30 boxes," said Iswandi, Head of Central Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept., Wednesday (1/24).

Its installation is located on the path and the neighborhood street. Considering the area has mostly electricity short-circuit.

"Our target is able to install 13,000 boxes this year," he expressed.

Various constraints faced by officers in the field are such as locations that are difficult to reach the operational car and some people who do not refuse with the installation of the MCB box.

"For people who refuse, we've do ne socialization and finally they understand, all constraints in the field can be resolved so far," he stated.
