Jokowi to Cast His Vote in TPS 17 Menteng

Non-active Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo will cast his vote in upcoming presidential election on July 9 at polling station (TPS) 17, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Mr. Jokowi will cast his vote in TPS 17, Menteng Urban Village. The location is in Suropati Park, just like in last legislative election

“Mr. Jokowi will cast his vote in TPS 17, Menteng Urban Village. The location is in Suropati Park, just like in last legislative election,” stated Head of Jakarta Population and Civil Registry Department, Purba Hutapea, Monday (7/7).

According to him, although Jokowi no longer lives in governor’s home office on Jalan Taman Suropati No. 7, but in accordance to his home address on ID card (KTP), Jokowi uses his right to vote in TPS 17.

Indeed, since early 2013 Jokowi and his wife, Iriana, have possessed Jakarta ID card and family card (KK). As for their three children, they are still registered as Surakarta residents. Now, Jokowi, who is also president candidate number 2, lives in a rented house on Jalan Sawo, Menteng.

Meanwhile, registered as residents of Muara Karang, Blok P8U No. 27, RT 10/14, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-District, North Jakarta, acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama and wife Veronica Tan will cast their votes in TPS 67, Pluit.

“Mr. Vice Governor has been registered since a long time ago in TPS 67,” told Hutapea.
