Because Japan has been successful. We must be optimistic we can be like Japan

Prasetio Edi Marsudi, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD disclosed that Jakarta should align Japan's concept of managing the basement.

"Because Japan has been successful. We must be optimistic we can be like Japan," he expressed, in the Japanese Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Office, in Chiyodaku, Tokyo, Thursday (2/1).

Jakarta and MRT Will Hold Basement Management Workshop

According to him, one of the most important managements in alignment with the Japanese Government is operation of Mass Rapid Transit (MRT).

Therefore he asked Jakarta DPRD's Bapemperda to soon discuss the Draft Bylaw on Management of Basement.

"This is very important for the legal protection of MRT operation and the management of commercial area in MRT stations," he stressed.

Assistant Minister of International Relations of Japan, Koichiro Kakee ensured that his party would continue to oversee MRT development to the end. Starting from regulation alignment, to future operation.

"So ladies and gentlemen do need to worry. Japanese government will definitely help," he said.
