Cawang Settlements Inundated Again

Cawang area, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, is inundated again due to rain on Wednesday (2/7) dawn and overflowing Ciliwung River.

Cawang Urban Village Head, Haerudin said, 30 RTs in 6 RWs are inundated. Such as in Gang Arus RW 01 and 02, Jalan Budi RW 03, Jalan Maliki RW 05, Jalan Tanjung Sanyang RW 08 and  Jalan Usaha RW 12.

"Flood had receded yesterday afternoon, but water level at Katulampa Floodgate rises and inundated settlement again. Though this is not as high as before," said Haerudin.

According to him, residents should evacuate since their houses are inundated due to this subsequent flood. Residents are evacuated to Gang Arus evacuation tent and Suara Pembaruan office.

Then, it is also provided at tennis field on Jalan Taman Harapan, Stikes Binawan College, Musala Al Islah RW 05, STIE Nusantara on Jalan Budi Tanjung Sanyang and Al Hidayah Mosque at RW 08.

"Based on current data, there are around 158 families or 464 people evacuated ," he informed.
