Pengadegan Urban Village Office Used as Refugee Camp

RT 05, 06 and 07 are located in the basin. So they are still flooded

Up to now, three RTs in Pengadegan Urban Village, South Jakarta are still flooded. Even, because of many people who fled, the local urban village office had to be also used as a refugee camp.

Pengadegan Urban Village Head, Muhammad Mursid disclosed some areas that are still flooded as high as 20-90 centimeters nowadays are RT 05, 06 and 07/RW 01. That is why the residents decided to take refuge.

"RT 05, 06 and 07 are located in the basin. So they are still flooded," he expressed, at his office, Wednesday (2/7).

Because of the office location near residential areas, Mursid stated, his office had to be used as a refugee camp and flood post. It is set up at four points.

Those four points are Pengadegan Urban Village Office, SDN 03 Pengadegan, Pancoran Sub-district Office and Madrasah.

"Until this afternoon, there are still 1,094 people who fled at the four points," he told.

According to him, the supply of logistics in the urban village is fairly enough. The public kitchen that has been set up is capable of making 500 meals. His party gets packaged rice meal from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI).

"We get aid from related SKPD and sub-district," he told.
