City Civil Servant’s ID Card Works as ATM Card as Well

The civil servants (PNS) of Jakarta Provincial Government will have multi-function ID cards that can be used as debit card, withdraw money in DKI Bank ATM, and pay TransJakarta bus tariff (JakCard).

For civil servants, having one card will be more effective in usage. Besides as ID card, it can be also used as DKI Bank ATM card which already connected with joint ATM network and ATM Prima, debit card, and JakCard for TransJakarta bus tariff payment

DKI Bank President Director, Eko Budiwiyono, said the distribution of city’s civil servants ID cards will be done gradually to echelon-IV officials and 1,200 civil servants as pilot project. Before that, DKI Bank together with Jakarta Personnel Board (BKD) will update the data of Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants.

“For civil servants, having one card will be more effective in usage. Besides as ID card, it can be also used as DKI Bank ATM card which already connected with joint ATM network and ATM Prima, debit card, and JakCard for TransJakarta bus tariff payment,” he stated, Tuesday (7/8).

Basuki Wants Multifunction ID Card for Civil Servants

The ID card contains chip that keeps the data of Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants. The implementation of DKI Bank ATM card with the ID card aims to integrate civil servants’ payroll, especially if they filed for financing to DKI Bank.

Head of Jakarta BKD, I Made Karmayoga, welcomed the card positively.

“BKD together with DKI Bank got an assignment from Acting Jakarta Governor to make civil servants’ ID cards that are multi-function and fully useful,” he told.

Meanwhile, Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama uttered that the card will be used by new civil servants as first phase trial.

“I want all of us to apply non-cash transaction. This (card) is for name tag as well as bank account. With this, civil servants can be controllable when they’re getting regional performance allowance (TKD). We’ll be stricter,” he asserted.

According to Basuki, the system in the card is worked on by DKI Bank to push the bank into a competent bank.

“This is JakCard, can be used for anything, connected with everything. We asked DKI Bank to work on it,” he disclosed.

For information, at this time there are 72,000 Jakarta Provincial Government civil servants who 1,200 of them are civil servant candidates (CPNS). All of them are DKI Bank customers for Tabungan Monas (Monas Saving) and Tabungan Simpeda (Regional Development Saving).
