The City Police deploy a company consists of 100 policemen to guard polling station (TPS) 18 Taman Suropati, Menteng, Central Jakarta, where non-active Jakarta Governor, who is also one of president candidates, Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo and wife Iriana cast their votes.

“Everything is 100 percent ready, including the logistics. The security is assisted by the police. One TPS one cop, except in Jokowi’s TPS a company,” stated Head of Menteng Sub-District, Bondan Diah, at Suropati Park, Wednesday (7/9).

Arrived at TPS 18 Taman Suropati at 10.30 AM, Jokowi, who is wearing brown batik shirt and black pants, and and Iriana in all-white plain Muslim attire, directly heading to the voting box. They finished casting their votes in less than 15 minutes.

“Just to be neutral,” said Jokowi when reporters asked why he does not wear plaid shirt which is his signature since Jakarta gubernatorial election 2013.

Besides Jokowi, public figures casting their votes in TPS 18 are former Vice Indonesia President Try Sutrisno, former Sports and Youth Minister Hayono Isman, Halim Kalla and Suhaely Kalla who are brothers of Jokowi’s running partner Jusuf Kalla, and artist Inneke Koesherawati. A total of 638 fix voters list (DPT) consists of 301 men and 337 women are registered to cast their votes in this TPS.
