389 RWs in C. Jakarta Enliven 2018 People's Sport Festival

389 RWs in 44 urban villages have sent their athletes to compete in four sports on 2018 People's Sport Festival.

So far futsal has been started since early February, and will be continued with other sports later

Central Jakarta Youth and Sport Sub-dept. Head, Tedi Cahyono said, those sports competed are futsal, volleyball, table tennis and chess.

According to him, festival is held to bring closer interaction between family and citizens. Representatives of the winning RW will advance to the sub-district level, then to the city and province.

"Our obstacle so far is the field. But we take advantage of existing land, such as in schools and flat towers or other fields," he told.

While for other sports, he continued, his side is trying to procure the necessary equipment. "Thus far futsal has been running smoothly. We're in the process of preparing the procurement of table tennis, volleyball and basketball through an open auction. Table tennis will take place in May," he stated.
