Post Presidential Election, Security in Jakarta Increased

Post presidential election on last Wednesday (7/9), the security in the capital city is increased. It is conducted to prevent clash from happening between both president candidates supporters.

In line with Mr. Basuki’s instructions, keep alert and maintain security

Head of Jakarta Nation Unity and Politics Board (Kesbangpol), Fatahillah, said his party has received instructions from Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama to increase alert in the city.

“In line with Mr. Basuki’s instructions, keep alert and maintain security. We’ve coordinated with the police and TNI, and we’ll do field coordination. So, don’t let chaos happen in Jakarta,” he stated, Thursday (7/10).

Presidential Election in East Jakarta Runs Conducive

As known, both president candidates claimed they won the election based on the result of quick count done by some survey agencies. Because of that, to prevent clash between both president candidates supporters, Jakarta Kesbangpol has set up joint post in its office.
