At least 7 kiosks located on Jalan Krendang Raya No. 96, RT 02/08, Krendang Urban Village, Tambora, West Jakarta, burned down, Saturday (7/12) morning. No fatalities were reported in the blaze, but the loss predicted to reach hundreds of millions rupiah.

At that time, a number of citizens were immediately trying to put out the blaze, but they failed. The blaze quickly spread to next buildings. Luckily the firemen of Tambora Sub-District arrived and then managed to control the situation.

Head of Operation Section for West Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, Abdul Wahid explained as many as 27 firemen deployed to the scene. "We can put out the blaze more than two hours. Currently, the case has been handled by the Tambora Metro Sector Police," he expressed.
