Council Supports City to Control PKL on Sidewalk

City Council supports Jakarta Provincial Government act that strictly forbids street vendors (PKL) from selling on the sidewalk. 

We support City to control PKLs who are still selling on the sidewalk

City Council's Commission B Member, Syarifuddin said, Perda No. 8/2007 about Public Order has regulated that PKL is forbidden to sell on the sidewalk and roadside.

"Don't violate things that have been regulated in Perda. We support City to control PKLs who are still selling on the sidewalk," he mentioned, Wednesday (3/14).

Separately, another member of Commission B, Endah Setia Dewi assessed, there is no reason for PKL to sell on sidewalk. Moreover, Jakarta Small Medium Enterprises Cooperation and Trade (KUKMP) Dept. has prepared coached locations (Lokbin) and temporary locations (Loksem) in Jakarta.

"We already have Loksem and Lokbin thus people are able to trade, " she stated.
