Pari Island's Coastal Area Has Been Cleaned From Oil Spill

Seribu Islands Environment (LH) Sub-dept. personnel have cleaned waste oil that polluted Pari Island's coastal area. Personnel collect the waste up to 30 sacks.

Today it is already cleaned. We transport 30 sacks of waste from the location

Seribu Islands LH Sub-Dept. Head, Yusen Hardiman said, his side has cleaned the area from Sunday (4/8) morning to Monday (4/9). 10 personnel were deployed to clean Pari Island's coastal side.

W. Jakarta Team to Monitor Waste Pollution in Rivers

"It is already cleaned today. We transport 30 sacks of waste from the location," he informed, Monday (4/9).

Those sacks full of waste are separated from other waste and transported to main island using boat. Later on, those waste will be taken to  Industrial Waste Treatment (PLI).

"We transport the waste to PLI and we also give waste sample to Seribu Islands Police for examination," he said.

He explained, this oil spill incident is the third time occurred along 2018. Previously, it also happened in Tidung Island and Panjang Island.
