During Mampang-Kuningan Underpass trial, traffic on Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta becomes more smooth. Traffic from Jalan Buncit to Kuningan is not hampered by traffic light anymore.

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Deputy Head, Sigit Widjatmoko admitted traffic from Buncit-Kuningan is smoother than before.

Traffic Engineering Prepared During Mampang-Kuningan Underpass Trial TodayAccording to him, trial on Mampang-Kuningan Underpass has been started since 06.20 AM. His side has also prepared traffic engineering on the location to support this trial.
"We have prepared traffic engineering without changing any traffic flow. We just add U-turn access," he added.
Based on Beritajakarta.id monitoring, traffic flow seems quite smooth. Traffic sign is also installed on the mouth of Mampang underpass. It informs road users who want to go to Menteng and Setiabudi to pass through underpass and head to Tendean and Blok M by taking left lane of underpass.
Nurdin (45), a motorcyclist, admitted he is quite satisfied with Mampang-Kuningan Underpass application. Because the traffic is not hampered by two traffic lights that leads to Kuningan from Mampang direction anymore.
"Usually we need to pass through two traffic lights. But after underpass is enabled, there is no more congestion. Traffic becomes smoother," he explained.
