No Fund, SD Building Renovation Stopped

The renovation process of the State Elementary School (SDN) 11 Pagi and 12 Petang, Jalan Bendungan Melayu, RT 04/01, Rawa Badak Selatan, Koja, North Jakarta, is still stagnated. The reason is the Jakarta Development Planning Board (Bappeda) has yet to approve the fund proposal.

Hopefully, the Bappeda would approve the proposal and could be finished at the end of 2015

Such renovation has been ongoing on since June 2013. But it had to be stopped after entering sixth month, in December 2013. As a matter of fact, the first stage has been conducted in 1990 and reached 60 percent by spending Rp 5.7 billion. Totally, its fund reaches Rp 10 billion.

"The building was built in 1990, that's why its condition is very worrying. Hence, the renovation is conducted and has reached 60 percent. But why it was discontinued?. It stopped last year and until now I don't see another renovation," she told, Wednesday (7/16).

Head of Facility and Infrastructure Buildings Section for Jakarta Education Department, Indra Patrianto justified that the renovation is delayed until 2015, because the Bappeda did not respond the renovation proposal this year. "Hopefully, the Bappeda would approve the proposal and could be finished at the end of 2015," he hoped.

The renovation itself is predicted to spend Rp 10 billion. In addition, as much as Rp 5.7-6 billion had been spent to renovate the school last year. "Initially, we wanted to re-continue the project this year, but our fund proposal by Rp 4 billion has not been responded," he stated.
