BBM and LPG Supply will Be Safe During Ramadan & Eid

Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept. ensures supply of the subsidized fuel (BBM) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the capital will be safe during Ramadan until Eid ul Fitr.

"BBM and LPG supply is safe. All have been facultative before Saturday last week," expressed Edward Napitupulu, Division Head of Energy and Electricity for Jakarta Industry and Energy Dept., Tuesday (5/15).

He admitted demand for fuel and LPG this year is higher than last year. However, his side with PT Pertamina has coordinated to anticipate the scarcity of stock.

"So from Pertamina has also sent a standby duty letter to ensure the availability of fuel and LPG stock in agents," he told.

Separately, Communication & CSR MOR III Pertamina Unit Manager, Dian Hapsari Firasati explained, if the increase in fuel demand is compared to normal consumption on D-15 to D+15 of Eid ul Fitr, it will be estimated at 8.81 percent, especially for gasoline type fuel such as Premium, Pertalite, Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo.

While for the type of Gasoil such as Solar, Biosolar, Dexlite and Pertamina Dex is predicted to decrease about 3.81 percent.

The increase in demand, she continued, will also be happened in LPG products if it is compared to normal consumption by 9 percent, especially for Non-PSO LPG such as Bright Gas 5.5 kilogram, Bright Gas 12 kilogram and LPG 12 kilogram with an estimate of 22 percent.

"To anticipate it, additional stock has been done so the people do not have to worry, all will be enough," she said.
