189 Vehicles Netted During Illegal Parking Operation in E. Jakarta

189 vehicles were netted by joint personnel from Transportation Sub-dept., Satwil Lantas, Garnisun, POM AD, POM AU and POM AL while conducting vehicle operation in several locations in East Jakarta, Monday (7/23).

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept.'s Monitoring and Controlling Section Head, Slamet Dahlan stated, 80 joint personnel are deployed to hold vehicle operations on Jl. Raya DI Panjaitan, Halim Lama intersection area, Jl. Raya Ahmad Yani, Jl. Raya Dewi Sartika, Jl. Raya Bogor, Jl. Raya Matraman, Jl. Raya Ciracas and Jl. Raya Raden Inten.

"We want all areas in East Jakarta to be sterile from illegal parking thus traffic can be smooth during Asian Games and afterwards," he affirmed.

From total 189 vehicles, 45 vehicles were ticketed by Transportation Sub-dept., 75 vehicles were netted by police, eight public vehicles operation were stopped, four vehicles were towed, 47 motorcycles and 10 cars were flattened.

"We will continue to conduct illegal parking operation ahead of Asian Games. Moreover, illegal parking is also complained by local residents since it often causes congestion," he explained.
