First Day Odd-Even Implementation 1,102 Violators Ticketed

Thousands road users were ticketed on the first day of odd-even policy expansion which is implemented on Wednesday (8/1).

Based on Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya data, there are 1,102 violators on the first day of odd-even implementation

"Based on Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya data, there are 1,102 violators on the first day of odd-even implementation," mentioned Sigit Wijatmoko, Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) Deputy Head, Thursday (8/2).

106 Vehicles Ticketed Due to Odd-Even Policy Violation

He said, odd-even policy violations occured in several roads. During odd-even implementation, traffic control is focused on identifying vehicles with fake registration plates and temporary registration plates.

"Vehicle which is excluded in odd-even policy provisions are government's red plate, police plate, and TNI plates," he explained.

Based on evaluation on the field, he continued, first day implementation on odd-even policy expansion on several roads is relatively went well.

"In another words, policy which is implemented consistently can give an immediate affect," he expressed.
