After watching Asian Games XVIII badminton competition in Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan visited Asian Fest at Atung Zone.

This is unexpected, God has brought us together

Based on beritajakarta.id monitoring, Anies became a center of attention by visitors and Indonesian supporters along his way from venue to Asian Fest. He also allowed residents who want to take photo with him.

There was a unique moment happened where Anies unexpectedly met with his neighbor in Yogyakarta named Kusantini (80) while waiting at Asian Fest food court.

She immediately shook his hand and started their conversation. Anies talked with Kustantini enthusiastically while remembering their old memories at Taman Yuwono, Jl. Dagen, Sosromenduran, Gedong Tengen, Yogyakarta.

"Unexpectedly, she ask me whether I remember Taman Yuwono or not. This is unexpected, God has brought us together. Mrs. Kustantini's nephew was RT Head at that time, I called him brother Widya and his father named Mr. Trusto who is as old as my grandfather," he stated, Tuesday (8/28).

He explained, Taman Yuwono is a settlement built in 1920s. He said, when he was young, he had lived with his grandfather there.

He stated, there is only 20 houses in that settlement which round the tennis court. He remembered well that Kustantini's house is located on the opposite side of his grandfather's house.

"I know this neighborhood very well. I often traveling around to neighbor's house and they treat me like their own child," he recalled.

Meanwhile, Kustantini was also amazed to meet Anies in the middle of Asian Games visitors crowd.  She wants to have a chance to eat on the same table.

"I am amazed to meet Mr. Anies in here. It is unbelievable, I am really happy that Mr. Anies still remembers us," she mentioned.
