4,962 Vehicles in E. Jakarta Break Odd-Even Expansion

It has been noted that 4,962 vehicles are netted from the raid during odd-even system expansion in East Jakarta. All of them are obligated to undergo a speedy trial for light offenses, which is locally known as tipiring in the East Jakarta District Court.

Of 4,962 vehicles, 552 out of them are ticketed by East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. and 4,410 other vehicles are netted by the police

East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept.'s Supervision and Control Section Head, Slamet Dahlan stated that the raid will intensively be done from Jalan Ahmad Yani dan Jalan DI Panjaitan.

"Of 4,962 vehicles, 552 out of them are ticketed by East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. and 4,410 other vehicles are netted by the police," he stated, Wednesday (8/29).

By doing so, the number of violations continues to decline. It can be seen from the raid results every week. It is also able to minimize traffic jam quickly.

Of 552 vehicles netted, 178 of them are netted in the first week, 135 units are netted in the second week, 127 units are netted in the third week, and 112 other units are netted in the fourth week.

While for 4,410 vehicles, 1,603 of them are netted in the first week, 1,681 units are netted in the second week, 830 units are netted in the third week, and 296 other units are netted in the fourth week.

The vehicle owners must undergo tipiring in the East Jakarta District Court. The first trial is slated on August 24 and the second trial is on August 31.
