International Right To Know Day 2018 is commemorated at Merdeka Square, Gambir, Central Jakarta. This event is started by assigning commitment about public information disclosure between Communication and Information Ministry and some information commission figures and representatives.

Government guarantees public to get accurate and not misleading information

Communication and Information Minister, Rudiantara said, public agencies should provide information whether requested or not according to applicable rules.

"Government guarantees public to get accurate and not misleading information as it is regulated at UU no. 14/2008 about Public Information Disclosure," he stated, Sunday (9/30).

Meanwhile, Central Information Commission Head, Gede Narayana explained, right to know day commemoration is held to educate and motivate public agencies about the importance of public information disclosure in accordance with the law.

"It is an attempt to realize a government which is transparent, accountable, and free from corruption," he affirmed.
