The 8th Jakarta Melayu Festival (JMF) will be held at Ancol Beach City, North Jakarta, on October 27, 2018.
We will support any effort in order to preserve Melayu cultures
Geisz Chalifah as the promoter as well as producer said, this event which is themed 'Melayu Menyatukan Negeri' will show collaboration performed by guest stars from different genres and ages.
"We want to show the new concepts in this JMF by performing songs across genres, reforming music arrangement, accompanying Serampang Dua Belas dance, and creating a magnificent stage concept," he stated, Wednesday (10/24).
Ancol Targets to Reach 19 Million Visitors This YearHe stated, JMF will also performs some artists such as Erie Suzan, Husein Alatas, Shena Malsiana, Alfin Habib, Takaeda, Maxi, Fika Fabiola, Anwar Fauzi Band, Cockpit Band, and Konsentra Sumatera Utara who will accompany Melayu Dance.
"We plan to show collaboration between artists and Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan in this show," he mentioned.
Taman Impian Jaya Ancol Corporate Communication, Rika Lestari stated, her side supports any effort in preserving cultures, including Melayu culture.
"We will support any effort in order to preserve Melayu cultures. Moreover its current target is millennial generation," she stated.
