East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) conducts traffic engineering on Jalan I Guti Ngurah Rai, from Jalan Raden Inten intersection. It is done after Buaran Baru Station is re-operated after total renovation. 

But now, road users should obey the traffic lights

East Jakarta Sudinhub's Traffic Section Head, Andreas Eman mentioned, previously vehicles from west or Jatinegara could pass without a hitch, but now it must obey the traffic light that has been installed from Tuesday (11/13).

"Formerly, vehicles from Jatinegara could directly pass Buaran traffic lights. But now, road users should obey the traffic lights," he mentioned.

Traffic light is turned on after Buaran Baru Station is operated. His side considers to turn on the traffic light because about more than 1,000 people are estimated to use this station. Traffic light should be turned on to facilitate people who want to go across the road.

"We want to provide a sense of security and comfort to pedestrians who want to cross the road from station or vice versa," he conveyed.
