Prize Money Awaits You in Kite Festival, Don’t Miss It

For the umpteenth time, Central Jakarta Administration is going to hold Kite Festival in Silang Monas Court. This festival is held to enliven Indonesia’s 69th Independence Day commemoration on August 17, 2014.

First winner will receive Rp 5 million, second winner Rp 4 million, third winner Rp 3 million, first runner up Rp 2 million, and second runner up Rp 1 million

“We will hold Kite Festival again in Monas on upcoming August 17,” stated Head of Central Jakarta Tourism Sub-Department, Triyugo, Friday (8/8).

According to Triyugo, Kite Festival this year will be more festive than previous years. He predicts so because this year the amount of participants will not be limited.

“Previously, each urban village can only send two representatives. This year there is no limitation. As a matter of fact, the participants can also those who live outside Jakarta. That’s why we predict Kite Festival this year would be more festive,” he uttered.

Triyugo also hopes this festival would attract tourists from domestic as well as foreign countries. While to attract people’s interest to take part in the festival, his party has prepared some money as prizes.

“First winner will receive Rp 5 million, second winner Rp 4 million, third winner Rp 3 million, first runner up Rp 2 million, and second runner up Rp 1 million. For those of you who are interested to join the festival can sign up in Central Jakarta Tourism Sub-Department office on Jalan Tanah Abang 1,” he told.
