Sebira Island in Harapan Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands Sub-district is one of the interesting places for anglers to hunt mackerel fish in northern waters of Jakarta.

Seribu Islands Tourism and Culture Sub-dept.'s Administration Section Head, Neneng Roaeni informed, more than 100 tourists from both local and foreign countries who came to visit Sebira Island since January.
In Sebira Island, tourists mostly visit sea turtle conservation, lighthouse relics from Dutch era, traditional houses, snorkeling, and try Bugis culinary.

She explained, many mackerel fish seen in this water area thus most tourists and anglers choose to fish in this spot. Local residents are also work as mackerel fishermen.
"Those fishermen can get around 10-20 kilograms of mackerel fish a day," she conveyed.
She hopes, infrastructure and transportation in Sebira Islands or locally known as Jaga Utara Island, could be improved for tourism thus many tourists can visit this island. All this time, tourists are mostly came to fish or visit some areas as a part of trip package from Harapan Island and Kelapa Island. According to her, no local or foreign tourists who are directly visit Sebira Island.
"It would be better if we are facilitated with many transportation access, infrastructures, and more tourism facilities. I think it will increase number of tourists," she expressed.
