Four Fallen Trees in S. Jakarta Evacuated

Strong wind on Thursday (11/22) in South Jakarta caused four trees in three locations to fall. Joint personnel from Forestry Sub-dept. and PPSU were deployed to evacuate those trees.

We deploy one Forestry Unit in sub-district for each locations

South Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept. Head, Yuswardi stated, one of the location is on Jalan Minangkabau, Pasar Manggis Urban Village, Setiabudi. On this location, an angsana tree with 30 centimeters diameter has fallen and blocked half the road.

Then, two angsana trees with 30 and 40 centimeter diameters have fallen on Jalan Buncit Raya, Kalibata. While the other one has fallen inside SDN 03 Tebet Barat school area.

"We deploy one Forestry Unit in sub-district for each locations. There are nine personnel in each teams. We evacuate those trees immediately thus it will not hamper traffic flow," he conveyed, Thursday (11/22).

South Jakarta Forestry Sub-dept.'s Forestry Section Head, Bambang Muhirdan added, those fallen trees were chopped using chainsaw.
