Anies Attends in E-Ticketing Launching

We hope it can tidy up and synchronize data, between motor vehicle owners with the fact that the vehicle is where and who is the owner

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan is attending the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) launching or ticketing implementation, which consists of the Integrated Vehicle Registration and Identification System (IVRIS) and SMS Info 8893, on Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Sunday (25/11).

Commission B Supports E-Ticketing System

He explained that Jakarta Provincial Government is supporting the implementation of digital systems in traffic law enforcement, including registration of motorized vehicles.

The intended support is the integration of population and civil registration with the system owned by the Polda Metro Jaya.

"We also have an interest in this (digital system). Because the data dated on November 25, 2018 shows, there are around 700,000 four-wheeled vehicles that have not paid taxes, which are worth around Rp 1.2 trillion. Then, there are also four million two-wheeled vehicles which have not paid taxes worth Rp 585 billion," he told.

By so, it is hoped able to speed up the process of completing tax payments. If there is a violation, the fine will be sent to the individual (owner) whose name is registered on the system.

One of the problems faced today is that many vehicles move ownership, but the records do not move and the tax is unpaid.

"We hope it can tidy up and synchronize data, between motor vehicle owners with the fact that the vehicle is where and who is the owner," he hoped.

Thus far the CCTV installation to support the system has been done in the Sudirman-Thamrin corridors. Its installation will also be expanded soon.

"I spoke with Traffic Directorate, we will install CCTV in crowded places. It is being reviewed by the Polda now," he stated.

Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) is an effective law enforcement system in the field of traffic. Using electronic technology in the form of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras can detect Motorized Vehicle Numbers (TNKB) automatically, record, and store evidence of violations to be used as evidence at the time of action.

In 2019, it will be developed in Jakarta. It is targeted around 81 units will be installed at 25 intersections in Jakarta area.

Whereas, IVRIS is a motorized vehicle registration system that is integrated between BPKB and STNK. Thus it only needs once inputting data on the registration of vehicle registration, which is carried out by verification of the barcode system.

The launching itself was attended by Polda Metro Jaya Chief, Ir. Gen. Idham Azis; National Police lead investigator Comr. Gen. Ari Dono Sukmanto; Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Directorate, Comr. Pol. Yusuf; and Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (PAN-RB) Minister, Syafruddin.
