Urban Farming Program in 53 Locations Developed

53 locations that spread in Jakarta are targeted to be able to develop urban farming this year.

At present we have given guidance for beneficiaries of the urban farming program in 53 locations

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Dept. Head, Diah Meidiantie detailed that those locations consist of 13 flats, 9 RPTRAs, 9 farmer groups, 5 RWs, 11 office buildings, 2 school buildings, 2 farms, 1 agrotourism, and 1 location for association or community.

"At present we have given guidance for beneficiaries of the urban farming program in 53 locations," he stated, Wednesday (11/28).

In early December, it is targeted the beneficiaries have to do the seeding vegetables given by the dept.

"The people must be able to plant and care for the seeds thus can grow well. Then it can be harvested and give benefits for the residents themselves," he said.

As for the information, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan has issued Gubernatorial Instruction No. 14/2018 on Urban Farming.
