12 joint personnel are deployed to ensure traffic diversion program on Jalan Otista III, Cipinang Cempedak, Jatinegara to run well, on Tuesday (12/4). Those personnel are from East Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. (Sudinhub) and police.

Today, traffic engineering is applied on Jalan Otista III from 06.00

East Jakarta Sudinhub's Traffic Section Head, Andreas Eman stated, banner with size 2 x 1.8 meters contains of traffic diversion information is also installed on Jalan Otista III.

"Today, traffic engineering is applied on Jalan Otista III from 6 AM . It is one of department's program relates to continuation project to build waterway from Ciliwung River to Cipinang River," he informed.

Besides deploying joint personnel and installing two banners on the road, his side also install traffic signs from Monday night to early Tuesday. No left turn and no right turn signs are installed from Jalan DI Panjaitan, Jalan Raya Otista, Jalan Kalimalang intersection, Jalan Basuki Rahmat intersection, and other spots.

"Since midnight, we are gradually applying traffic engineering on the location because there are still many local residents' vehicles use the road. So we close the road totally from 4 AM and divert the traffic to the specified route," he explained.

12 joint personnel are deployed to assist the passing vehicles because usually on the first day there are some road users who don't know yet about route that can be passed. Thus they need assistance from officers on the field. Besides, locals also participates to help controlling the traffic.

Based on Jakarta Transportation Dept.'s meeting result, traffic from east (Jalan DI Panjaitan) to west (Jalan Raya Otista) is diverted to go through Jalan Otista III-Jalan Kebon Nanas Selatan 1-Jalan Kebon Nanas Selatan 2-Jalan Otista III–and so on.

Meanwhile, traffic from west (Jalan Raya Otista) to east (Jalan DI Panjaitan) is diverted to go through Jalan Otista III-Jalan Kebon Nanas Utara 1–Jalan Yahya-Jalan Otista III–and so on.
