Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Dept. is going to use a land as wide as 1.3 hectare on Jalan Permata Hijau 2, Grogol Selatan Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, for the development of urban agriculture or urban farming.
Diah Meidiantie, Section Head of Agriculture for KPKP Dept. expressed that the land will be planted by productive trees such as banana, manggo, guava, rambutan, etc.

Later on the dept. will also involve local farmer groups, including by providing fertilizers, plant seeds, until guidance.
"We want the land use to provide economic value, and be able to improve the welfare of the group members involved," he stated.
