PT Transjakarta is planning to change the tariff system of TransJakarta bus. Current tariff system is Rp 3,500 for either short or far distance. Later, it will be charged per bus stop.
TransJakarta bus tariff will be calculated per distance. So, short distance is subsidized by far distance. Our target is to impose it next year
PT Transjakarta President Director, Antonius NS Kosasih, said the plan is expected to be imposed next year. Now, it is still being discussed.
“TransJakarta bus tariff will be calculated per distance. So, short distance is subsidized by far distance. Our target is to impose it next year,” he stated, Monday (8/11).
Basuki Promised to Make All TransJakarta Bus Lanes SmoothAs for passengers of integrated transportation services such as Kopaja AC, APTB, and BKTB, Kosasih told that they must pay the tariff double. This is because those transportations have not willing to join in the implementation of electronic tickets due to high investment cost.
Thus far, PT Transjakarta is still negotiating with Kopaja AC, APTB, and BKTB operators to get the best solution. So, the passengers would not feel burdened with the new system.
“We’ve asked Kopaja AC, APTB, and BKTB operators to integrate their tickets with us. But since the investment cost of e-tickets does not small, we cannot force them to join us,” he uttered.
